Round up of the MET gala 2012

Wow! I am writing about the MET ball after a week. That's sad, I know. But, there should be some respite for someone giving exams, no?

The recently concluded MET gala, held at the costume institute in New York City, saw a bee line of fashionistas making their presence felt on the red carpet. Better known as the 'Oscars' of the fashion industry, MET gala 2012 saw some hits and misses yet again. Also, it was the first time that this event was streamed live on amazon.com/fashion. But I missed it, thanks to the entrance exam madness.

Anyway, most of the attendees were looking amazing. Here's a 'dekho' at the women who rocked the red carpet with their dresses and more!

1. Jessica Alba

Jessica wore a Michael Kors metallic dress. I loved this look! Plus, the way she’s wearing her hair–wavy to one side and the smokey eyes with dark lips, totally works. She rocked the red carpet and how! Thumbs up.

2. Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett's princess gown by Dolce and Gabbana transported several girls (and guys, you betcha) into the dream world. She never fails to impress us with her red carpet style. It's vintage-inspired glamour. The tulle mermaid fit and flare hem added more drama to her ensemble. Accessories wise - she kept it simple, only adding a single bracelet and small drop earrings.

3. Camilla Belle

 

Camille Belle dazzled in a ralph lauren. It's not always that you get to see an amazing ballgown by ralph lauren, but they managed to work it out for Camilla. The dress fits her like a dream. Her glamorous deco-inspired gown was perfectly complemented by a diamond bracelet, long pendant earrings, and a silver clutch. The rich plum lipstick and a sleek side-part chignon gets a thumbs up.

4. Gwyneth Paltrow

She has a fit body, a body to die for! Gwyneth rocked the red carpet in all things  Prada: a blue ice halterneck mullet dress with over sized pockets and killer steel blue shoes.

5. Cameron Diaz

Cameron Diaz opted for the long sleeved trend that most women on the red carpet ceremonies have been following.  She wore a stunning, golden Stella McCartney gown with a low-scooped back, matched with a gold metal clutch. Fantastic!

6. Beyonce

I am a bit confused about her look! No doubt about the fact that she looks like a stunning diva, even though it's been just 4 months since she delivered her baby. Also, I love her updo. But her givenchy gown? Is it really that good?
